Brent’s been on the road A LOT in August so let me say thanks to all those involved – Bill Whyte and Steve Dean in Nashville, TN, Pam and Tom Hatley and Starview Vineyards in southern IL, Dave Gagnier and the Lansing, MI Parrothead Club, Steve Louwers and everyone at Cheeseburger in Caseville, MI, Phil and Kathy Pompeo, Jerry and Cindy Bannister and Keith and Patti McClements in the Seattle, WA area. WHEW! I got tired typing that. Can’t imagine actually doing it!

Trop Rocks The Bay, Fairhope, AL
With the traveling, there are a couple of changes to the local schedule. Brent will be at Lulu’s here in Gulf Shores, AL on SUNDAY, September 19 and TUESDAY, September 28, 5-9PM both nights. The “normal” Monday, September 6 and 13.
We’ve had a lot of inquiries about the National Shrimp Festival here in Gulf Shores. Brent will be playing on Thursday, October 7 on the west stage 12:30-2:30PM and Saturday, October 9 on the east stage 2:45-4PM. Make plans to come visit!
MOTM, that great Parrothead gathering in Key West, FL is fast approaching! More details next month! Would you like Brent to play for your group while you’re in Key West? Email us if you’re interested! The Songwriters Showcase at the Rum Barrel was such a success last year that it’s been expanded. This year we’ll have two nights, Tuesday, November 2 and Wednesday, November 3. 7-10PM both nights. $5 at the door. The lineup is packed with all your Trop Rock favorites! This year each performer will autograph a guitar and it will be raffled off at the end of the event. Proceeds will go to charity. Not going to be in Key West? If you’d like a raffle ticket, they are $5 each. You can call me, 251-948-8863, with a MasterCard or Visa number OR send a check made out to Brent Burns to PO Box 2495, Gulf Shores, AL 36547. Since Brent will take these entries to Key West for the drawing, the last date for purchase by credit card or check is October 20. A GREAT piece for that Parrothead collection and a good cause! November 5 is also the date for the Margarita MAFIA Trop Rock Music Awards. Brent is nominated in several categories. MAFIA members, please vote by the September 30 deadline!
October 3 will be Brent and Pam’s FIRST ANNIVERSARY! To think they said it would never last! CONGRATULATIONS!
